Karl is a retired business executive with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (BSEEE) from North Dakota State University and a degree in Computer Science (MSCS) from West Coast University. He has done additional post-graduate thesis research and work in Predictive Pattern Recognition using artificially intelligent stochastic processes. His 40+ years of work experience covers a wide range of positions. Starting out as an officer in the U.S.A.F. in the Space Shuttle Program, he moved on to growing multiple industrial automation companies that ranged from sensors and sensing technologies to motion and machine / process controls and systems. He has managed several corporate departments including operations, applications, sales, marketing, business development, customer service, IT, product design & development, engineering. Due to his essential understanding of market conditions and future trends, he has consistently advanced to executive management and board member levels in every company he has worked for.
Prior to his current position, Karl was Chair of KEC’s Board of Directors Nominating Committee for the past 5 years. Although technically retired, Karl continues to be called upon to provide corporate consultation and advice as requested.
