In November 2025, the Kootenai Electric Trust Board awarded a $2,500 grant to Turkeys & More.
Turkeys & More is a non-profit serving Kootenai County since 2017, and has provided over 18,000 turkeys and raised $480,000, ensuring Thanksgiving meals for more than 100,000 residents. In 2025 alone, the organization distributed 2,250 turkeys, feeding about 11,500 community members.
Governed by a four-member board and supported by 12 committee members, Turkeys & More partners with the CAP Food Bank and local agencies to supply turkeys and gift cards, reaching families in need across the county. This dual approach reinforces its mission to fight food insecurity and bring holiday meals to as many households as possible.
